Loved this place, traveling through town and stopped here for lunch. So good I came back for dinner and of course a piece of that 9” cake they have up front. Food was good, price was very reasonable and the service was great.

My sister & brother-in-law introduced me to this great little mom & pop restaurant the other night. The restaurant was clean & the staff was friendly, but our server disappeared after she checked on us & dropped the bill so I had to go up to the counter to request a to go box when we were finished. I ordered the whitefish & it was delicious: the perfect amount of batter, fried golden & piping hot. For sides I selected fried okra which was crispy & tasty; coleslaw which was uniformly cut, sweet & crunchy; hush puppies - I wish there were more of them - & banana pudding. It was smooth, tasty & plentiful with bananas. The prices were very reasonable & I definitely hope to return for another great meal.

Coffee is not hot, and waitress keeps overfilling my cup. Food is about the same temperature. Pretty good overall but warmer, please?

We love trying local independent places whenever we're traveling. This place is so good, It makes me want to travel back to this area just to stop here! Absolutely a gem. From the wait staff to the food. We're still talking about it almost a week later! Don't sleep on those beef tips they were delicious! And my mom LOVED the country fried steak! Everything we tried was delicious and everyone was inviting. If i ever go that direction again we WILL be back!

I’m from Seattle WA. I love this restaurant. They have the freshest salads and they cook deep fried mushrooms to perfection. The best I have had from anywhere. If you are traveling anyway near it’s a have to stop at place. It’s not fancy but it’s so one off the best places I have been to. You will be glad you stoped here

Super friendly! Food was delicious! Portions were great! Felt like eating at Mawmaw’s house! I highly recommend trying a piece of their giant carrot cake!
